About this site
Hi — I’m Thomas, a long-time tech enthusiast with a strong curiosity about how complex systems work, whether they’re orbiting Earth or running quietly at home.
I tend to learn by building. That usually means taking something apart, understanding how it functions, and then recreating it in a way that makes sense to me.
Interests
Space and Satellites
I’m particularly interested in low Earth orbit systems and satellite constellations, especially how raw orbital data can be turned into something visual and understandable.
That interest led me to start working directly with TLE data, orbital propagation, and live visualization instead of relying on static maps or screenshots. This site grew out of that curiosity — a place to experiment, learn, and share what I find.
Technology and Hardware
Outside of space-related projects, I spend a lot of time working with hardware and infrastructure, including servers, networking, virtualization, and monitoring.
I enjoy figuring out not just how to make something work, but why it behaves the way it does, and what tradeoffs are involved in different design choices.
Gaming, Modding, and Community Work
I’m also involved in gaming and hardware modding communities, where I document fixes, configurations, and tools that make things easier or more accessible for other enthusiasts. I'm actively hosting other websites and can be found on Github and Discord.
Many of my projects start because I couldn’t find a clear answer to something and decided to document the solution once I figured it out.
Creative Projects
On the creative side, I run tabletop role-playing campaigns and worldbuilding projects. While very different on the surface, they scratch the same itch — systems, structure, and emergent behavior — just in a more narrative form.
Why This Site Exists
This is a fan-driven project.
It isn’t official, sponsored, or affiliated with any company.
The goal is to explore data, build useful visualizations, and share what I learn along the way. Everything presented here is based on publicly available information, experimentation, and personal interest.
How I Approach Things
A few ideas tend to guide my projects:
Learn by doing
Prefer clarity over hype
Show the data whenever possible
Document things so others don’t have to repeat the same work
Looking Ahead
This site will continue to evolve as I experiment with new tools, data sources, and visualizations. Some things may break, change, or disappear along the way — that’s part of the process.
If you’re interested in satellites, technology, or understanding how things work under the hood, you’ll probably find something here worth exploring.
